Texting in Public Situations

Texting in public situations is becoming a much larger problem in society, as many people see it as being very rude and disrespectful. Many people my age and even people much older and younger are quickly adapting to the new found development of texting and other operations on mobile devices. People walk around all day with heir thumbs going crazy on their phones screen, and often times not paying attention to anything that is going on around them. Their have been many times where I have seen two people walking and bank into each other because neither one if them was looking where they were going due to the mobile device. While it is very comical for people around them to see, these people did not seem to to find it too amusing, however it was both their own faults. I have also been at several meetings or presentations when somebody has been called on to comment on the material and they have no idea what the topic even is, because they have been too focused with whatever they are doing on their phone. While this just makes them look very, very stupid, it also is extremely rude to the presenter or too others in the room. This problem is growing everyday and while may be funny to other people to witness, is not a good problem for our society to have.

Through out the writting of my research paper there were several problems that I have encountered. However the main problem that I found myself encountering was knowing how to site and deal with making sure I was not plageising any of the researched infomation. I also came across a problem with having to much information and not having enough room to stay within the word limit while also still making the point about my topic that I am trying to portray. Also i was having a little bit of struggle with deciding how I should break up the paragraphs and how many that I should have had in total. Overall the writting of my essay went well and these problems were overcame.

Movie Review

I have recently seen the movie Trouble With a Curve, starring Clint Eastwood. This film is a baseball movie about the life of a great Boston Red Sox scout who's life is progressing a whole lot faster than what he wants it too, and his old age is finally starting to catch up with him and is beginning to have an impact on his job. His daughter, who he has never had a good relationship with since she has become an adult herself, spent many years with her father, going from game to game and practise to practise scouting players. She has been able to pick up and thing or two and is able to do her fathers job almost just as good as he can. After her fathers good friend calls her, she agrees to join her father on a scouting trip in order to ensure he gets the right job done so they can pick the correct player. So they embark on this unexpected trip together and become closer because of it, and great things change in their lives, both for the better. This movie is terrific for any sports lover who understand stands the process of drafting, but also is a great story line for anyone who is just looking for a great movie that appeals to much more than just the sports side of thing. Its a great love story, has comic relief, and also has many scenes that keep you wanting more. This was one of the better movies I have seen this year and I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Engl 1110 research topic

I have been a camp counsellor for $ years of my life and I have had the oppurtunity to see many different cchildren as the come through the camp. Our camp is highly sport related and gives many of the children a great chance to be active and involved. However many of these kids I have seen at my camp have never participated in any of the activities that involve being active and running around. I have a very strong oppinion that this is heavily do to the fact that there is a high and grow content of childhood obesity. I have been there for 4 years at this camp and even ove rthat short period of time I myself have still noticed the kids are becoming lazier and more obese and this should be an ongoing concern for everybody. This is why i have choose to write on the topic of childhood obesity
